Mommy Mingle is a supportive social and educational community created by moms for moms. Simply put - we get it! The juggle is real, and we believe you shouldn’t have to navigate it alone. We’re here to help you lead an inspired, balanced and well-rounded life by providing the necessary tools to really rock this mama thing!
Through community-driven events our mission is to create a comfortable social setting for mamas and babies to mingle and engage with one another. Whether it’s a mommy and me lunch, musical adventure class, educational panel or wellness retreat, Mommy Mingle provides the social, emotional and supportive community that is essential for every mama.
Chief Mom Boss
Kristin (Sollenne) Malta is a mom of three kids and owner and founder of Mommy Mingle. "It's important that new and expecting moms know they're not alone. There is a sense of unity when you can talk about issues you're going through and draw from others experiences. Our community has spread nation wide and is expanding into toddler years and beyond! I'm so proud of this ever evolving network."
Prior to becoming a mom Kristin had made headlines as a culinary star and Food Network Judge, with regular appearances on CBS, NBC, FOX and the Food Network. She adds author under her belt with the release of two books - Domestic Chíc, A Fashionably Fabulous Guide to Cooking and Entertaining by the Seasons and The Thinly Effect, fall in love with taking care of yourself.
The self-proclaimed GlamaMama strives to develop a supportive, (now virtual) community providing much needed programming like, sleep training, Baby 101, Baby Babble, Starting Solids: Food Prep and much more. Mommy Mingle was born out of her desire to meet new mom friends and build a supportive community.
Kristin lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with her family.
Director of Community Engagement
Carlie Finkle is the proud mom of her daughter Noa and son Gavin. A lifelong New Yorker, she moved to the Upper West Side in 2017 and started working with Mommy Mingle in 2019 as community engagement director. For Carlie, it’s all about developing a close-knit community where families feel welcome and comfortable, while having lots of fun along the way!
In addition to community (and being a mom!), Carlie has a passion for health and fitness. After graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Kinesiology, she worked for 10 years in corporate fitness at one of the largest health and wellness companies in the country. Starting as a personal trainer, Carlie worked her way up to Senior General Manager with responsibility for the corporate fitness and wellness studios at Bank of America and Viacom.
Carlie couldn’t be happier to be a part of Mommy Mingle, bringing our community closer together through the best programs and events for our families!
Meet The Team
Amy Yacoub, MS, CCC-SLP
Amy is a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist living in St. Petersburg, Florida. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida, and a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Columbia University. Amy has over 10 years of experience, with a specialization in early language delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, articulation disorders, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, is PROMPT trained, and certified in the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk Program. Her writing has been featured on several websites and blogs. Amy is the author of the monthly parent guides included in the children’s book subscription Join The StoryBox.

It might seem impossible, but a good night's sleep is closer than you think if you have the right plan that supports you and your child. At Bank Street's Graduate School of Education, Brooke (MS Ed. 2003) learned to apply a developmental lens to her teaching and curriculum design.
She is one of Kim West's first 50 Gentle Sleep Coaches and has worked with over 1,500 families with children of all ages. Brooke specializes in creating and affirming behavioral routines that are right for your child's developmental picture and of course are sensitive to his temperament.
Caroline Weeks, RDN, LD
Caroline is a pediatric Registered Dietitian who has a passion for educating families on how to provide nutritious meals from the beginning of life. In her full time career she works with families of children with complex medical conditions and understands that it is her job to use evidence-based science combined with a holistic mindset to teach families how to make healthful choices to nourish the entire self.

Jill has worked as an early childhood educator for over ten years, both as a music and gym teacher for infants and toddlers and currently, as a preschool teacher in New York City.
If there's one thing she's learned as a teacher, it's that every child is incredibly unique, and that means that her approach to engaging a child can’t be “one size fits all.”
Little Maestros is an award-winning early-childhood educator-approved infant and toddler music program. Dedicated to providing an unparalleled experience, it continues to raise the bar in its specialty: children's music classes and parties.

Megan Furlong, RN

Megan is a NICU nurse and mother to a 1 year old boy, Ryan. She is certified in neonatal nursing, lactation counseling, basic life support, and neonatal resuscitation. “My favorite part about my career as a NICU nurse is empowering families by teaching them how to care for their baby at home.”
Over the past 5+ years, she has cared for thousands of babies– premature, full term, bottle fed, breastfed, twins, triplets, with medical needs, with first time parents, with experienced parents, from many backgrounds and cultures. She’s learned what most new parents need help with, what the common concerns are, and how to adapt a teaching style to fit different needs.
Catherine Lessman aka Miss Catherine, is an Early Child Development Specialist and mom who takes an individualized approach in helping your child and family unit successfully achieve success in all of life's little obstacles. Being a parent is hard enough, add in all the transitions, new methods and advice that comes along with early childhood and it can be just overwhelming. At Miss Catherine, I have combined my education with my extensive experience in early childhood as well as being a mom myself, to create resources and tools to help families navigate all the things that raising our littles throws at us. From Potty Training, Sleep Training, Picky Eating, Playroom Organization Tools and everything in between.
MS, CCC - SLP
Dana McWilliams is a New York State, ASHA certified pediatric speech language pathologist. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of speech and language delays/disorders, as well as, feeding disorders. Trained in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), SOS Feeding (Sequential Oral Sensory), Myofunctional Disorders, has worked with children diagnosed with Apraxia, Dysarthria, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Craniofacial conditions, Stuttering, Down Syndrome, ADHD, ADD and pragmatic delays. Dana is committed to providing an individualized program to meet the needs of each child and family. Dana received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Binghamton University and earned a Masters of Science from Mercy College.

Hipster Baby Music
Nick is a singer-songwriter/musician in NYC. He has been involved in children’s entertainment in NYC for about 6 years. He teaches music classes at Mt. Carmel Pre-School, the 14th street Y, and at several other Pre-K/2’s programs/play-spaces around the city.
It doesn't matter if it's The Wheels On the Bus or The Rolling Stones, kids like music that's shared with energy, joy, and passion. Connect over the music you love, it never has to be more complicated than that.
MS, MT-BC, LCAT
Lora Heller, MS, MT-BC, LCAT developed Baby Fingers in 2000 after her son Zeke began to sign at 6 1/2 months old! She is a music therapist and teacher of the Deaf; Lora is also a certified educator of infant massage (CEIM). In addition to directing Baby Fingers, she is Special Projects Coordinator and Adjunct Instructor in Music Therapy at Molloy College. Lora is author of Sign Language ABC, Sign Language for Kids: A Fun and Easy Guide to American Sign Language, and Baby Fingers: Teaching your Baby to Sign (board book series) with Sterling Publishers, and the ASL Content Consultant for the 2nd series of Story Time with Signs & Rhymes picture books written by Dawn Babb Prochovnic. Lora has also written for music therapy professional publications and national parenting magazines.
She is a frequent presenter at music therapy and early childhood conferences and is the on-line expert for various parenting programs including ParentsTV.com baby sign language videoseries. On Lora’s team at Baby Fingers, teachers possess degrees in ASL, education, psychology, creative and performing arts (or other related field) with sign language proficiency and vast experience working with children. Our teachers have all been trained and certified in the Baby Fingers methodology and curriculum.
MS, CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Tori is a licensed New York City based speech and language pathologist (speech therapist). Tori’s own experiences receiving speech services as a child, in conjunction with her passion for working with kids, is her driving force in the field. Tori’s undergraduate studies took place at the University of Florida, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She received her Master’s Degree from Touro College. Tori is a certified member of ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association) and also holds a New York State TSSLD license (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities).
Tori specializes in providing play-based therapy to children ages birth-3 through both structured and unstructured activities to encourage growth in expressive and receptive language skills. Presently, Tori works full-time at a public Elementary school, providing a broad range of intervention services to PreK-5th grade students. After work hours, you can find Tori at the track, on the tennis courts, or shopping around NYC.
